"Together we grow in God’s love, learning to be the best we can be"
St John Fisher RC Primary School is voluntary aided in the Archdiocese of Southwark with close links to St John Fisher Church. It serves the Catholic Local Community and welcomes families from other faiths and none; the school emphasises Catholic life and mission within a parish context.
Head Teacher Ms Kenna welcomes visitors and describes the school as a caring, welcoming place with dedicated staff and a supportive community, committed to providing high-quality education within a Catholic ethos; invites families to visit and learn more about the school.
Wrap around care is provided by Fisher Fun Club, which operates before and after school: 7:30–8:30am in the morning and 3:00–6:00pm in the evening. There is an additional cost for Fisher Fun Club, and it can be combined with the nursery provision for continuity.
Reception places are allocated by the local authority using the school’s admissions policy. Catholic applicants must submit a Certificate of Practice. A place in the nursery does not guarantee a reception place, and a separate reception application is required. For in-year transfers, contact the school; if the relevant year group is full, a waiting list is used. Supplementary information forms must be returned by 15 January 2026 (for Catholic applicants, the Certificate of Practice form must be obtained from the parish). The online application is through Merton Council; additional admissions documents are available from the school website (Admissions Policy 2025-26, 834 KB).
Hot meals cost £2.98. Breakfast and After School Clubs have charges (see current rates on the school website). Nursery charges vary by hours and are detailed in the Flexible Nursery Hours section (pricing from September 2025). Payments are monthly in advance via Debit/Credit card, bank transfer, childcare vouchers, or tax-free childcare. Some hours may be free under the 15 or 30 hours entitlement; specifics are published in the Nursery information pages.
