Admissions Criteria

The Corner School is an independent primary school for pupils with SEMH as their primary need; pupils may also have other needs such as anxiety, ADHD, ASD/ASC, PDA, OCD, ODD, and may have experienced ACEs or attachment difficulties. The school offers an assessment of need, a tailored personalised curriculum with a learning pathway, a trauma-informed, sensory-aware teaching approach, and a tri-part therapy model (Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and Psychotherapy/Emotion Coaching) along with parent support. The Admissions Process includes details of the child’s needs (EHCP or statements and related reports), contact with current educational placement, a home visit, tasters, and an offer of placement to the Local Authority when appropriate.
