Bishop Gilpin is a Church of England Primary School with strong links with St Mary’s and St Mark’s churches. It welcomes families of all faiths, and its Christian values of Forgiveness, Equality, Caring and Thankfulness guide school life; the school is guided by the teachings of Jesus.
The Headteacher describes Bishop Gilpin as offering an exceptional primary experience from Nursery to Year 6, with wellbeing at the heart, a safe and happy community, high expectations, a strong curriculum, staff development, and rich enrichment through music, sport, and church connections; families of all faiths are welcome.
Wraparound provision in Nursery from 3.30pm – 6.00pm with a flexible pick up from 5.30pm. The wraparound care is led by familiar adults from our school team. Parents/carers using the wraparound provision need to commit to either 3, 4 or 5 days per week. The cost is £30.00 per day which includes a light bite from our school chefs.
As a voluntary-aided school, the Governors are responsible for setting the school's admissions criteria, in line with the national School Admissions Code 2021, and reviewing these annually.
