Welcome to Waverley Primary School. I am proud to be appointed as Headteacher. Waverley is a fun, friendly and busy school where children, staff, parents and governors work in partnership together. I am committed to leading this school forward so that we achieve the best possible educational outcomes for the children in this community.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions into Reception are handled by Newcastle Local Authority. Applications open on 1 September 2025 and close noon on 15 January 2026. Admissions into Reception are handled by Newcastle Local Authority, and applicants are encouraged to submit online via www.newcastle.gov.uk/admissions. In-Year Transfers handled via Newcastle City Council; Admissions policies are available via ONE Trust links. Nursery admissions are listed and can be requested through the School Office; Applications for transfers to high school follow the Newcastle City Council guidance.
