Admissions Criteria

Kirk Hallam Community Academy participates in Derbyshire County Council's coordinated scheme for the September Year 7 intake; applications should be made directly to Derbyshire County Council. The closing date for the coordinated admission scheme is 31 October preceding admission to secondary school. Places are allocated on National Offer Day. Mid-year admissions are processed by Kirk Hallam Community Academy and applications should be made directly to the school. If a year group is full, the school will hold waiting lists, and the waiting list will remain open until the end of the academic year. To be added to the following year's waiting list, a new application must be made in that academic year. If you move house, contact the school in advance as it may affect admission positioning. Appeals can be made to Derbyshire County Council (appeals timetable provided on the Admissions page).
