Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Matilde Warden welcomes visitors and describes Belper as an inclusive, community-focused school that values a love of learning, curiosity, and broad, rich opportunities. The school aims to develop resilience, independence and self-belief so students leave as well-rounded, confident individuals who can contribute to their communities.

Facilities

Theatre facilities: a traditional proscenium-arch theatre with full lighting and sound systems; stage and auditorium with retractable tiered seating (maximum audience around 242); three dressing rooms; a dance studio and two drama studios; wheelchair access for audience and performers; backstage toilets; shade and lighting control facilities; sound and lighting gallery across the back of the auditorium; retractable cinema screen and fixed screen; climate controlled heating/ventilation; foyer and kitchenette; Talk-back system and show relay system; insurance requirements for hires. Car parking shared with Belper Leisure Centre (with some spaces reserved for Leisure Centre customers); additional parking behind the Leisure Centre.
