Admissions Criteria

Lea Valley Academy admissions are allocated by the London Borough of Enfield. In cases of over-subscription, priority is given in this order: 1) Children in public care (looked after) and those who were adopted; 2) Children for whom the school is appropriate on exceptional medical grounds (must be supported by a doctor’s statement); 3) Children with a brother or sister at the school (living at the same address) at the time of admission; 4) Children whose parent is a member of staff employed at the school for two or more years or recruited to fill a vacancy; 5) Children living nearest to the school measured by distance (“as the crow flies”). EHCPs will be offered at the named school. In-year admissions follow Enfield LA guidance. Siblings are defined as brothers/sisters living at the same address. Year 6 into 7 priority follows the same framework. Appeals may be made to Lea Valley Academy if a place is refused.
