Welcome to Vanguard School, a specialist school for Autistic pupils aged from 11 to 19. The curriculum includes three domains; personal, social and academic delivered through three pathways that match pupils’ cognitive ability. Everything we do is underpinned by the Quality-of-Life Framework.
All students have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan (formerly a Statement of Special Educational Needs) that refers to a diagnosis of Autism. Vanguard School provides a structured environment with high levels of targeted intervention and differentiation throughout the school day to support students with autism-related needs.
Vanguard School has places available for autistic children aged 11 to 19. Referrals should be sent via local authority to [email protected]; the school is a day school taking students from Lambeth and surrounding local authorities. All students must have an EHCP referring to Autism; the school may admit pupils from Year 7 to Year 13.
