SEND Provision

Elm Court uses Inclusion Team to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties; includes Inclusion Officers who are ELSA trained; uses a 3-tier model of therapy delivery (universal, targeted, specialist); aims for a Total Communication Environment; mindfulness; emotional self-regulation; intervention and prevention; 1:1 or small group therapy; programs and home/classroom adjustments.

Admissions Criteria

Elm Court admits pupils aged 11 to 19 with Education, Health and Care Plans; admissions are via Lambeth Special Education Needs (SEN) and considered by an admissions panel; visits to the pupil and family may be arranged; if EHCP indicates Elm Court, they assess whether the school can meet the pupil's needs; general visits arranged; we can admit younger than 11 only if moving to Elm Court at secondary transfer and early transition is appropriate; Home to School transport arrangements are via Local Authority.
