Head Teacher's Message

Castlewood School is a special day school for 5 to 16 year olds with EHCPs. Since joining the Manor Hall Academy Trust in September 2020, the school has embraced the values of Everyone Belonging, Learning and Growing. The Headteacher emphasises a warm, inclusive community with strong pastoral care, aiming for every pupil to reach their full potential and to thrive academically and personally.

Admissions Criteria

Pupils attending Castlewood School have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). All referrals to Castlewood School must come through the Local Authority. The Local Authority will contact parents/carers and inform them whether a placement has been accepted; if accepted, a transition plan is put in place to support the pupil’s move to Castlewood.
