SEND Provision

Support for pupils with SEND is highly effective. SEND specialists know pupils and their families extremely well. The vision is to build independence in order to achieve each student’s potential and maximise their strengths, while providing support to compensate for weaknesses. The faculty aims to: ensure smooth transition visits; create positive partnerships with students, parents/carers and professionals; ensure all staff have the knowledge and expertise to best support students with SEND, including adaptive teaching and pastoral support; support EHCP outcomes and personal SEND targets; gather baseline information to identify needs; provide bespoke individualized programmes; raise academic progress, confidence, wellbeing, social skills and familiarity with formal assessment; review outcomes and progress; ensure equal access to extra-curricular events, trips and visits; ensure support including formal access arrangements for GCSE studies and exams; consult school policies for SEND information.
