Ethos & Values

"The best in everyone."

Excellence Determination Creativity Inclusion Kindness Respect Courage Decency Resilience Enthusiasm Participation Engagement

This ethos is our expression of our Christian roots, in schools which are fully inclusive and both welcome and respect students and staff of all faiths and none.

Head Teacher's Message

The Principal states that Coleridge aims to bring out the best in every student, developing them academically and personally with high expectations, a focus on education with character, strong relationships with families, and a commitment to excellence in every lesson.

Admissions Criteria

PAN 120. Admission is allocated using oversubscription criteria with equal preferencing. If fewer than PAN applications are received, all applicants are offered a place. If more than PAN apply, oversubscription criteria are used to determine offers, with potential distance-based or random tie-breakers. A child with an EHCP naming Coleridge is given reserved status as required by law. In-year admissions are handled directly by the school with specified forms. Waiting lists are maintained by the Local Authority and ranked by oversubscription criteria rather than on a first-come-first-served basis. Applicants are asked to list three schools in order of preference. For contact and hard-copy forms, see the Admissions page; for general information see the Policies page.
