Admissions Criteria

Entry to the school in September (Year 7). Applications are made via Nottinghamshire County Council. It is advised that parents wishing to apply to The Joseph Whitaker School also submit a Supplementary Form with details about why you would like your child to attend the school. The deadline for applications to a Nottinghamshire school is 31 October. Allocations are notified by Nottinghamshire County Council Admissions via e-mail or post on 1 March. Pupils not allocated a place may be placed on a waiting list according to our admissions criteria. If you wish to appeal, download an Appeal Form. Mid-Term Admissions are dealt with directly by the school. Appeals are heard within thirty school days (or as specified). For notices of appeal, see the link to School admission appeals.
