Redhill was the first secondary school in Nottinghamshire to be awarded an “outstanding” Ofsted rating for the quality of its teaching (May 2024), a distinction the academy has been awarded for a third time in succession. The headteacher emphasises nurturing talent with inspiring teachers, engaging lessons, high aspirations, and a diverse, values‑driven community where students are encouraged to take an active role in their education.
Admissions are allocated in the following priority order: Looked After Children or Previously Looked After; up to 10% of places for applicants who can show an aptitude for Performing Arts (based on workshop scores); children who have a sibling at the school and live in the catchment area; other children who live in the catchment area; children who have a sibling at the school but do not live in the catchment area; children outside the catchment area who on 31 October preceding admission attend The Redhill Academy Family of Schools; other children who live outside the catchment area. If applications exceed places, a waiting list is used in which priority is given based on the above criteria.
