Head Teacher's Message

Head Teacher Zoe Ramshaw emphasises a bespoke, therapeutic education across two sites (Ridgeway and Orange Tree), year-round admissions, and on-site therapies (equine therapy, forest school, skiing) with a therapy dog on site and on-site therapists to support wellbeing and achievement.

Facilities

Small group teaching (no larger than eight). Therapeutic environment coordinated by clinical professionals. On-site Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and counselling. Equine therapy, forest school and skiing. Regular visit from a therapy dog.

Curriculum Highlights

Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9): core subjects (English, Maths, Science) plus Art, Music, History, Geography, RS, Sport, PSHE, enrichment and more. Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11): GCSE examinations with continued core subjects and guided subject choices; emphasis on critical thinking, skills for life, and pathways to Higher Education and Careers. Cross-curricular learning and enrichment to foster a love of learning and collaboration.

SEND Provision

Inclusion provides Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that are written and reviewed every term; Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and counselling are available; assistive technology, access arrangements, and reasonable adjustments are used for internal and external tests; the Inclusion team communicates with parents and works with staff to support pupils.
