SEND Provision

Hunters Hall has a Speech, Language and Communication ARP established to support primary aged pupils with severe Developmental Language Disorder (SLD) and/or Speech Sound Disorder (SSD) within a mainstream setting. It provides up to 6 places for children whose primary need is Speech, Language and Communication. ARP placements are short-term (typically 1–3 years) and the school can signpost parents to ARPs within Barking and Dagenham for needs outside SLCN. The school also operates a three-level graduated approach to SEND: Wave 1 Quality First Teaching for Everyone, Wave 2 Small Group Support, and Wave 3 Targeted Individual Support, with access to external specialists (e.g., Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Occupational Therapists) as needed. Regular SEND reviews, termly progress tracking, and annual reviews for EHCPs are described.
