Curriculum Highlights

All National Curriculum subjects are viewed as equally important, underpinned by strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. The curriculum is language rich with reading at the heart of it. Curriculum planning is themed; each half term's learning is linked by a central theme with an Entry Point and an Exit Point. Theme days and weeks, House Challenges and whole-school activities are built into curriculum maps to extend learning. Curriculum maps are shared with families and parents are invited to workshops and Stay and Share sessions. Reading is at the heart of the curriculum.
