Welcome to Holy Family Catholic Primary School. We are a small Catholic primary school in Boothstown, with a mission statement: 'Live together, work together and pray together.' The school aims to nurture each child's gifts, foster partnership with the parish and local community, and prepare pupils with knowledge, skills, resilience, ambition and love to lead a happy, fulfilled life. The school places Christ at the heart of all we do and aims to provide exciting curriculum experiences within a values-led environment.

Early Bird Club runs daily from 7:45am; Out of School Club runs from 3:30pm to 5:45pm. Sessions must be booked and paid in advance via ParentPay. Early Bird costs £3.50 per session; Out of School Club costs £8.00 per session. Two payment options: Upfront payment via ParentPay or Government Tax-Free Childcare/childcare vouchers. Cancellations require 24 hours' notice. Registration forms available at the School Office. Out of School Club room is used and access to the outdoor area is available.

Admissions Criteria

Holy Family Catholic Primary School is consulting on its proposed admissions arrangements for the next academic year (2027-2028). The consultation period runs from 14 November 2025 to 26 December 2025. The Draft Admission Policy 2027-2028 and a Supplementary Faith Form are part of the process; information and resources include supplementary forms and links to Wigan Council Admissions Information and related guidance.

Financial Information

School dinners cost £2.55 per day and menu changes on a 2-week basis. Dinners are ordered and paid for in advance using the EVOLVE system. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are eligible for a free school meal. For more information, contact the school office.
