"I will be the best that I can be"
Hello and welcome to Marsh Green Primary School. We are proud to provide a high quality of education to the community and work closely with families to provide the best possible care. It is important to us that everyone feels valued, safe and able to aspire to achieve their dreams, to be the ‘best they can be’.
Breakfast Club runs each school day from 7:30am at a cost of £12 for 3 or more days or £4 per day. After School care runs from 3:15pm – 5:00pm (4:00pm on Friday). Cost is £5 up to 4:00pm or £10 until 5:00pm. Nightingales After School Club runs straight after school until 5pm. Places cost £10 per day; if pick up is before 4pm the charge is £5. Both Breakfast and After School clubs are run by the school’s own staff.
Marsh Green Primary is a highly inclusive school that uses a graduated approach to SEND. All children have access to first quality teaching with differentiation. Some children receive additional interventions or longer-term support. The school holds SEND CLINICS to discuss progress, attainment and concerns, and uses APDR (Assess, Plan, Do and Review) cycles for students needing extra support. Some children receive funding from the Local Authority (e.g., TISS, EYAR, EHCP) to support targeted interventions. External professionals may be involved to advise and plan, including SALT, EP, OT, Sensory Support, and others as needed.
Information about admissions, applications, and oversubscription criteria is provided via the Wigan Local Authority. The site links to Wigan Local Authority Primary School Admissions, Oversubscription Criteria PDFs, and guidance for applying for a place at primary school.
