"Grow in Grace"
The Blue Coat School has a Christian ethos and is Church of England foundation. The Chaplain ensures that Chapel worship is central to life. The School welcomes families of all faiths and none. Chapel services are attended by pupils and Parents and staff, with weekly services and various religious activities; the motto Grow in Grace is highlighted in chapel stained glass.

Breakfast Club available 7:30–8:00am (Reception to Year 6). After School Care available 3:30–5:45pm with three bookable sessions: 3:30–4:15pm, 4:15–5:00pm and 5:00–5:45pm. Aftercare includes sandwiches and drinks. Aftercare and after school activities are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. If a child is collected after their booked session, a late fee of £20 may be charged.
Main entry points are at age 3 (Nursery) and age 7 (Year 3). Other ages may be admitted by space availability. Nursery has a Nursery Readiness Evaluation; Year 3 entrants sit the 7+ Entrance Test with an experience day. A £1,000 deposit is required on offer, with 50% returned via a £500 deduction from the first invoice; the remaining £500 is held until departure. Bursaries and scholarships are available.
Fees quoted relate to the 2025-26 academic year. Nursery (3-4 Years, Full-Time) £4,933 per term; Pre-Prep (Reception to Year 2) £5,377 per term; Prep (Year 3 to Year 6) £6,483 per term. Pre-Prep fees include morning snacks, lunch, and school from 8am to 3:30pm (1:10pm for part-time Nursery). Prep fees include snacks, lunch, before and after school care from 8am to 5:45pm, swimming lessons, and access to equipment. Breakfast Club £3 per day (7:30–8:00am). Aftercare pricing: £66 for 1 session per term; £310 for 5 days per term; £20 for ad hoc sessions. 5% sibling discount for the second child, 10% for the third and subsequent siblings. HMRC childcare vouchers/tax-free childcare accepted for fees up to/before age 5; after that for after school care and activities. A £1,000 acceptance deposit (50% refundable as £500 deduction; £500 held) is required on offer. VAT applies to fees for children above age 4.
