"Together we learn. Together we Achieve"
Welcome to Grafton Primary School. Head Teacher Mrs Junaida Bana describes Grafton as a vibrant, diverse community where every pupil is encouraged to grow, learn and thrive. The REAL curriculum is described as relevant, engaging and enquiry-led, with a strong emphasis on rights, respect, and global awareness.
Grafton Primary School follows Barking and Dagenham Local Authority admissions. Admissions for Nursery are through the Local Authority with priority criteria: 1) children in the care of the local authority; 2) children with a sibling at the school; 3) children who live closest to the school measured from the child’s home to the school gate. If places are equal, distance is used and if still tied, a lottery may determine offers. The Local Authority handles admissions for Reception to Year 11. Nursery waiting lists are kept in priority order, and distance measurement uses SMART. Going to a particular nursery does not guarantee a reception place, and attending a primary school does not guarantee a place at a specific secondary school. If false or misleading information is found, the place may be withdrawn. For Reception admissions, Barking and Dagenham admissions apply via the Local Authority.
