"Where children shoot for the stars and shine"
A welcome message from the Executive Headteacher and Head of School describing St James Academy as an open, welcoming school in a strong local community serving children from age 3 in nursery to age 11 in the main school, emphasising partnership with families.
The 6-hour session starts at 8.45am and finishes at 2.45pm. You need to provide your child with a lunch. We also offer a wrap-around session from 2.45pm until 3.30pm at the additional cost of £2.00.
The academy operates a maximum intake of 30 pupils in each class in Reception, Key Stage One and Key Stage 2. The admission criteria are: 1) Children in Care; 2) Children who have a sibling in attendance at the school or paired junior school; 3) Pupils for whom a place at the school is essential on medical or social grounds; 4) Distance between the home address and the school (closer addresses receive higher priority).
