""Jesus grew in wisdom and stature" Luke 2:52"
Our Christian faith is at the heart of everything we do. We are the only Church of England secondary school in Sefton. Our vision and values are lived out daily.
I am Roy Bellmon, Headteacher. St Michael’s is the only Church of England secondary school in Sefton. We strive for high aspirations, first-class teaching, and strong pastoral care. Our Christian ethos shapes everything we do, and we work to develop students’ character so they can achieve their best. The St Michael’s Way underpins behaviour and school culture, with high expectations and a love of learning.
St Michael’s provides SEND support across communication and language, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, and sensory/physical needs. The school has two resource-based provisions within the mainstream school to support ASC and Cognition and Learning (allocation via Sefton Local Authority and EHCPs). There is an SEMH hub with multiple interventions. The SENCO observes lessons, gathers feedback, and provides advice. The school maintains regular Coffee Mornings for parents of children with SEND and works with external agencies, including Sefton Young Carers, to remove barriers and support progress.
