Admissions Criteria

Chesterfield High School is the Admissions Authority for Year 7. The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 is 270, though the school admitted above PAN in some years (277 for 2023–2025). Operational numbers for Years 8–11 are Year 8: 310, Year 9: 307, Year 10: 306, Year 11: 285. Oversubscription criteria are published by Sefton Council. Sefton Local Authority handles admissions on behalf of the school, and there is a right of appeal. In-year admissions may be considered via Sefton, with appeals managed by Sefton as well.
