Headteacher Mr Paul Eager emphasises that The Raise Academy is a specialist provision delivering an individualised, personalised curriculum in a safe, supportive environment, with staff committed to helping students dream big and achieve successful and fulfilled lives.
The Raise Academy provides a bespoke SEN provision where every pupil has an EHCP with SEMH listed as the primary area of need. The curriculum is personalised with 1:1 or small group interventions, access to sensory breaks and quiet spaces, and close working relationships with parents and external professionals. Progress is monitored with baseline reading/spelling tests and regular reviews, including access to a school counsellor and Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA), with involvement from CAMHS and other services as needed.
The Raise Academy is a Special School offering 64 places for pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and an EHCP. To be admitted, the Local Authority must name The Raise Academy in the child’s EHCP.
