Bentley West provides Deaf Resource Base support for deaf children with a severe to profound hearing loss; pupils are fully integrated into mainstream school life and participate in lessons and extracurricular activities alongside hearing peers. The on-site team includes specialist staff: one fully-qualified teacher of the deaf, three specialist learning support assistants and a Deaf instructor, with a Deaf Base Teacher and Deaf instructor available to meet needs as described in the Deaf Resource Base information.
