Clubs
Teenage Kicks provides SEND support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. Baseline assessments are arranged early after placement to determine strengths and weaknesses in literacy, numeracy and cognitive ability. Pupils undertake GL Assessments in the first days to identify concerns. A pupil profile and provision outline is produced for staff, identifying primary needs and potential interventions, with EHCP outcomes clearly identified. Staff comment on progress termly and hold a mid‑year review with parents. The school SEND register includes linked individual profiles for planning. The school works with external agencies such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), CAMHS and Occupational Therapists. There is a school counsellor and family support where applicable. Local Offer links provided for Oldham and Manchester.
Consultations for placement are received from the Local Authority SEND Team. The Education Health and Care Plan is received and reviewed by SLT and the SENDCo. If Teenage Kicks can meet the child’s needs, a visit for the pupil and their parents/carers is arranged to confirm suitability. The Local Authority response is expected within 15 days from receipt of the consultation, per the SEND Code of Practice.
