"To spark adventure and wonder for learning and life through the medium of the great outdoors and build our students resilience and self-esteem to face life’s challenges."
We support a range of student needs including Neurodevelopmental Disorders (including Autism), Learning Difficulties, Anxiety (Generalised/Social/OCD), Mood Disorders, PTSD and Trauma-related needs, Attachment disorders, Sensory needs, and more, delivered through a therapeutic education model with staff trained in therapy and education.
Admissions are based on a two-day detailed assessment process to determine fit with River Valley’s bespoke pathways. The school focuses on SEND and SEMH needs and accepts placements for Children and Young People from Key Stage 4 (Year 10) to Post-16 (aged 19); entry requires alignment with the school’s vocational and therapeutic programme.
