Aspiration Self Control Reflection Service Courage Autonomy

St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College is a Catholic College. The ethos is shaped by the motto Christus Lumen Gentium and a programme of liturgy and worship that provides opportunities to reflect on individual faith journeys. The teachings of Christ are captured in the College prayer, which is the heartbeat of the College and directs relationships, policies and procedures.

Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to our website. Our mission as a College is to honour the original aim of the first headteacher of St Bede’s Catholic Grammar School, Cardinal Arthur Hinsley, who wished to provide students with a thorough training in Catholic faith alongside a secular education equal to the best public schools in England. Guided by the motto Christus Lumen Gentium, we strive to ignite, illuminate and shine in our students, forming happy, confident, spiritually awake, life-long learners who are intellectually accomplished, morally grounded and spiritually alive.
