Northborough Primary School provides SEND support for a range of needs, including Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Mental and Emotional Health, and Sensory and/or Physical needs. Identification of needs can come from concerns raised by parents/carers or staff, assessment scores, changes in behaviour, or requests for help. The school uses Assess, Plan, Do, Review processes with termly Parent Consultations and reviews. Mrs Jackson (SENCo) coordinates support and may involve outside agencies such as Educational Psychologist, CAMHS, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Sensory Services, School Nurse, Physiotherapy, Counsellor, MASG Team, Peterborough SEND Hubs, and others. Interventions are tracked on provision maps and reviewed regularly. If a pupil has an Education and Health Care Plan, annual reviews are held. SEND funding follows Local Authority provisions and may be used to support individuals, including Pupil Premium considerations.
