Southfields Primary is inclusive and supports pupils with SEND. They follow the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and provide high-quality teaching tailored to the needs of every child. When extra support is needed, they use a graduated assess–plan–do–review approach, work with families and outside agencies, and offer high-quality teaching with differentiation, small group interventions, referrals to specialist services (Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists), support for social, emotional and mental health, and personalised plans. The SENCO coordinates provision and there is an annual SEND Information Report and Policy.
