Curriculum Highlights

Our Victoria Academies Trust curriculum is broad, balanced and meaningful. Five key drivers for the curriculum: Knowledge and experiences; Personal wellbeing and social responsibility; Curiosity and inquisitiveness; Challenge and ambition; Inclusivity and representation. Knowledge-rich, spiralling and interleaved learning with cross-curricular connections; emphasis on building blocks of learning in all subjects; flexible, personalised approaches for some learners (including supports for sensory processing differences); outdoor learning including forest schools; a specialist Music teacher working across Key Stages; commitment to challenging Gifted and Talented pupils. The curriculum includes core subject focus (English, Maths, Science, PE) with emphasis on basic skills (reading, writing, arithmetic) and a broad range of subjects.
