Curriculum Highlights

Foundation Stage curriculum with seven areas of learning (Personal, social and emotional development; Physical development; Communication and language; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding of the world; Expressive arts and design). Val Sabin schemes of work for Gymnastics, Dance, Games, OAA and Athletics. From September 2021 all pupils from Years 1–6 participate in two weekly PE lessons (one led by a specialist sports coach and the second by their class teacher). The curriculum is delivered with real-life context and includes a wide range of extra-curricular activities; PE features prominently with daily activity like the Daily Mile and Year 5 swimming; Year 6 Arthog residential.
