Headteacher's Welcome: Welcome to High Ercall Primary School. We are a caring, friendly and successful rural primary school with 5 classes and a private provider nursery. We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children learn in a partnership with parents, making learning fun, creative, active and shared. The school emphasizes high expectations, a broad and ambitious curriculum, and the Five Rs (Reflective, Resilient, Resourceful, Respectful, Responsible) to develop confident, independent learners who are ready for life in Modern Britain.

Wraparound care runs from 3.15pm until 5.30pm each evening (Monday to Thursday) and until 4.15pm on Fridays. Booking and registrations are via an online form; emergency bookings can be made by telephone or in person at the school office. Payment is required in advance, in blocks such as a week or month. The Edenred account number is P21028473. Pick up must be by 5.30pm. Children may complete homework if they wish. The Chill Club is held in the same site and uses the door at the front of the Victorian Building.
The school has an agreed admission number of 20 pupils for Reception and 24 pupils for Years 3–6. Admission is managed by Telford and Wrekin Council. Priority is given to: 1) Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school; 2) Looked-after children or children who have ceased to be looked after; 3) Children who live in the defined attendance area; 4) Children with exceptional health reasons; 5) Siblings and step-siblings living at the same address attending the school; 6) Other children living in the attendance area; 7) Children of staff; 8) Any remaining places to applicants from outside the attendance area. Applications are completed online via the council, with a closing date in January 2025. Parents may nominate up to four schools and may transfer between schools via the in-year admissions process.
There is no information about school fees because this is a state-funded primary school. Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) are available for Reception to Year 2. In Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) the cost of a school meal is £2.60.
