Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum is broad, balanced, challenging and engaging. Based on the National Curriculum. Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) follows an identical curriculum in mixed-ability groups with differentiation. Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11) features a core and options curriculum with vocational courses and pathways toward accreditation. Equals curriculum provides a class-based option for pupils working at a lower level with a focus on topic learning and reduced anxiety. Key Stage 5 focuses on developing functional skills in literacy, numeracy and computing alongside vocational courses and work-based learning. All courses from Year 10 onwards lead to qualifications such as GCSEs, BTECs, Level 1/2, Entry Level Certificates and Functional Skills. Manor College offers a personalised post-16 curriculum including English, Maths, ICT, Personal Development, vocational options, work experience placements, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Life and Living Skills.
