Ethos & Values

"Primum quaerite regnum dei"

Growth Openness Special Prayer Everyone Learning Valued Acceptance Love Unique Experiences Service

The Bishop’s Vision outlines Canon Law responsibilities: there must be sufficient places in Catholic schools to meet the needs of Catholic children; the formation and education provided should be authentically Catholic; educational standards in Catholic schools should be outstanding. The Vision defines three aims under the Diocese’s oversight: 1) to make Christ known and loved, 2) to provide excellent Catholic education, and 3) to enable all to find Christ in daily life and share that encounter with others. It also states that leadership and teaching should embed Gospel values in policy and practice so that students grow in faith and academic potential within a Catholic ethos.

Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher describes St Patrick’s Catholic College as a ‘good’ school at the heart of the community for 60 years, with Christ at the centre, high standards of education and pastoral support, a broad curriculum with enrichment, and strong careers guidance to support post-16 choices, all within the Nicola Postgate Catholic Academy Trust family.
