Curriculum Highlights

The curriculum is broad, deep and knowledge-rich to help pupils engage with and contribute to the community and society. Pupils experience a life-skills and character- and citizenship-focused curriculum (PSME and Life Skills with one hour per week). Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 structures support progression, with a variety of option choices including English Baccalaureate pathways and IT/R.E requirements. Assessment is formal and summative during defined weeks and informal/formative in lessons; targets are set from KS2 data; regular quality assurance and pupil voice inform curriculum review.
