Admissions are coordinated by Hull City Council. For 2026-27, places are allocated first to looked-after children and those who were looked after previously; priority may be given to staff in certain circumstances; subsequent priority is given to those living in the catchment area and to siblings, with distances measured by the shortest safe pedestrian route. There are two admission routes: normal admissions (Year 7) and in-year admissions. An admission number is published for the Autumn Term. Applications are handled through the local authority; there is no supplementary information form when applying. Appeals for in-year admissions are typically held within 30 school days of the appeal date; normal admissions appeals occur after notification of refusal. Information about admissions for 2025/26 and 2026/27 is available in the school’s Admissions Policy and through Hull Council and gov.uk guidance.
