Head Teacher's Message

The Headteacher emphasizes a positive, aspirational and supportive learning culture, guiding students toward lifelong learning and post-16 goals, with high expectations and strong relationships, and highlighting core values of respect, kindness and responsibility.

SEND Provision

The school describes Home/Academy agreements and dedicated staff to support families: parents/carers are expected to sign a Home/Academy agreement at admission; expert home/school liaison officers help families overcome barriers to learning; every student has a designated tutor and year leader who oversee personal care and well-being.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions operate a city-wide policy with the following criteria in order: 1) Priority to looked-after children named on a Local Authority statement; 2) all siblings of multiple births treated as a single application; 3) children who are, or have been, in the care of the Local Authority; 4) having a brother or sister attending the Academy at the expected time of admission; 5) residents in postcodes HU1, HU2, HU3, HU4, HU5, HU6, HU7, HU8, HU9; 6) residents in postcodes HU10, HU13, HU14; 7) residents in any other postcode area; random allocation used as a tie-breaker if needed.
