Planned backwards – Curriculum planned backwards from aiming for the best universities in the country. Knowledge-rich – The knowledge set out in the curriculum is designed to take pupils beyond their own experiences, and support social mobility. Revision built-in – Regular revision and 'Next Steps' actions to close knowledge gaps. Wider curriculum – Enrichment beyond regular lessons including academic, sporting and personal development; engagement with current affairs.

SEND Provision

Ark Elvin Academy supports students with SEND through early identification and targeted interventions. The SEND provision is led by the SENCO who works with teachers to identify needs, following the Assess-Plan-Do-Review model. Support focuses on academic progress as well as social and emotional skills, growth mindset, life skills and wellbeing. Pupils with additional needs receive high-quality teaching from their class teachers, potentially with different targets or task forms to suit individual needs, to ensure appropriate progress.
