I am proud to welcome you to Newman Catholic College. We are an inclusive Catholic school where we aim to nurture the individual attributes of our students to excel academically and personally. Faith is central, and we celebrate all faiths and cultures in our diverse, welcoming school. We place strong emphasis on pastoral care, attendance is above the national average, and the school is growing rapidly as a community that values every pupil.

Follow the National Curriculum with a two-week timetable and one-hour lessons; most lessons are taught in singles and in doubles for practical lessons KS3 (Years 7–9) taught in sets with a broad range of subjects and use of Accelerated Reader to track reading KS4: 2-year GCSE programme (Years 10 and 11) with Edexcel specifications and exams organized into papers; Foundation and Higher tiers KS5: Edexcel A level pathway with additional opportunities (e.g., retakes in Maths) and a two-year timetable World Languages: teaching of French or Spanish with annual trips abroad and emphasis on grammar and translation Computing: KS3-5 provision using platforms like Tynker and Scratch; OCR Computer Science GCSE in KS4/KS5; ECDL IT Applications EAL College offers five KS4 EAL Pathways (including Pre-Pathway) and options in the Sixth Form for different levels of English Cultural Capital is embedded through six interrelated developmental areas (Personal, Social, Physical, Spiritual, Moral, Cultural) Reading and Library provision supporting reading for pleasure (Accelerated Reader) and literacy across KS3 Sixth Form offers BTEC Business Level 3 Extended Diploma and Edexcel A Levels; use of cloud-based learning and online submission of assessments
