A warm welcome from Principal Arshad Ashraf, emphasising a nurturing, inclusive Islamic environment, development of character and leadership, and a commitment to high standards and community involvement to prepare students for future leadership roles.

Curriculum Highlights

The Star Curriculum Offers three elements: Educational excellence, Character development, and Service to communities. Element 1: Educational excellence with a knowledge-rich curriculum including English, mathematics, sciences, languages, humanities, arts and technology; delivery aligned with National Curriculum and national examinations; GCSEs, A Levels and vocational courses offered; bespoke routes for some students with SEND. Element 2: Character development through leadership development based on Star’s five foundations (sport, creativity, performing arts, enterprise and careers, charity and social action) delivered mainly through extra-curricular activities and independent study. Element 3: Service to communities linked to Star Citizens, including volunteering with a target of 50 hours per year and opportunities such as placements with charities or community organisations. Communication, Mathematical and Scientific Skills are developed through English Language and Literature, Maths up to GCSE, and Science up to GCSE with a mix of core and higher tier qualifications. Humanities, Faith and Relationships Education include History, Religious Studies, Citizenship (Life Skills) and Geography, with GCSEs in Citizenship and Religious Studies and options to study History or Geography. Technical and Creative Education includes Art & Design, Design Technology, Computer Science, and Creative iMedia; opportunities to study GCSEs or Cambridge National qualifications; emphasis on enrichment and leadership through curriculum.
