Welcome to Cowley St Laurence Church of England Primary School. We are rooted in faith, learning with love, and committed to creating a bright future for every child. Our motto is Rooted in Faith – Learning with Love – Creating a Bright Future. We nurture every child to grow in faith, develop a love of learning, and achieve their full potential within a secure, caring, and joyful environment. As part of the Frays Academy Trust, we work with other local primary schools to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

Curriculum Highlights

Reception uses Learning Through Play across 7 curriculum areas: 3 prime areas (Personal, Social and Emotional development; Physical development; Communication and Language) and 4 specific areas (Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design). Carpet sessions focus on basic maths and literacy, with progression into Year 1.

Admissions Criteria

Applications for Reception 2026 are welcome. National Offer Day is Thursday 16 April 2026. Tours are available on specified dates; the school welcomes applications from children of all Faiths or none. A Supplementary Information Form may be supplied to confirm regular attendance to a Christian Church; applications will be considered based on distance from home to the school, prioritising siblings and any detailed medical needs.
