St. Paul’s CE Primary School is a Church of England school that welcomes people of any faith, and none, and retains historic faith roots as a Church of England school; the school emphasises hospitality and safeguarding the needs of children within a diverse community.
Some of our children with special educational needs or disabilities receive additional support from the SEND staff team, including a dedicated SEND Teacher (CA Baron), SEND coaching and a Learning Mentor for nurture provision. There is a daily Nurture Group led by the Learning Mentor, and a SEN/ SENDCo presence (EYFS SENDCo P. Gizzi; SENDCo K. Topping). The school describes its nurture provision and staff involvement to support SEND students.
Admissons policies describe high priority for: (1) Education, Health and Care Plans naming the school; (2) Looked After and Previously Looked After children; (3) a broadened sibling criterion including half-siblings and step-siblings; (4) faith-based criterion with evidence of regular Church of England worship (optional); (5) a two-band attendance model; (6) Nursery attendance defined as an oversubscription criterion; (7) medical and social needs evidence; (8) distance from the school as final criterion; (9) tie-break via independent random allocation; (10) rules for shared or split residency. Nursery and Little Saints provision details and Bolton admissions coordination are provided in the admissions section.
