The school aims to reflect the multi-faith community it serves in both its collective worship and its Religious Education provision, and delivers the curriculum through the locally agreed SACRE syllabus. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from all or part of Religious Education teaching and from collective worship.
Welcome to Devonshire Road Primary School. The headteacher describes it as a happy and successful school that values every child, aims to deliver an exciting and challenging curriculum, inspire and nurture aspirations, and develop the whole child.

The SENDCO at the school is Miss Liz Gent ([email protected]). The school provides information on SEND (SEND Information Report and SEND policy) and works with Autism Support Group; Bloom Wellbeing; Bolton Mental Health Support Team; The Nest Therapy Ltd; and the School Nurse to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities and related services.
Bolton Council is the admissions authority for the school. Places are allocated up to an admissions number of 60 per year group; initial places are allocated to children with an EHCP naming Devonshire Road, with other places allocated by fair and objective methods. From 2 September 2025, school meals will cost £2.65 per day and £13.25 per week.
