Admissions Criteria

Charlton Park Academy admissions are for pupils with EHCPs and must state levels of attainment on entry in line with low incidence, severe developmental delay with SEN as confirmed by a recent educational psychologist assessment requested by the local authority. Attainment levels must be at Pre-national levels by year 6 (P1-P8) for priority placement. The EHCP should list severe learning difficulty as a primary need. Priority ranking is based on PMLD, SLD or ASD with significant/complex difficulties. For out-of-borough pupils, contact the Principal Registrar via the home local authority. Governors have temporarily increased planned numbers to 220 for 2023/25, with a maximum of 25 new year 7 places per year. All other year groups are full. Visiting, admissions visits, and transition arrangements are provided to support new placements.
