Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to Wize Up Independent School. We are an independent school dedicated to preparing young people to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. We aim for academic success while developing personal learning and thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to various social settings. Our learning ethos emphasizes that intelligence is innate and education teaches how to use and apply it. Everything we do rests on tailoring education to each individual and on a toolkit of skills for success, supported by partnerships with Local Education Authorities, schools, parents and carers.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are received directly from schools and Local Education Authorities (LEA) who will, if there is space, refer by filling out a referral form and submitting this either via email or fax. The school aims to contact on the day the referral is received to arrange an induction with the young person and their parent/carer; schools and any other professional working with the family are welcome to accompany them to this appointment. Telephone consultations before referral can be arranged with schools/LEAs.
