Admissions Criteria

Admissions process and visits: The best way to find out if St Mary’s is right for your child is to come and visit. Stage 1: Initial Enquiry via admin on 01424 730740 or an online enquiry form. Stage 2: Administration contacts you to arrange a mutually convenient visit date. Stage 3: Informal visit to see what St Mary’s can offer. Stage 4: A Taster visit (may involve day(s), a series of sessions or overnight in residential provision). Stage 5: If placement is suitable, we inform you and your Local Authority. On the visit you meet a member of the Senior Team who will help you understand what we can offer. After the visit a Taster Day can be arranged. Placement decisions are based on the child’s EHCP and supporting reports, and on the Taster Day. If a placement is pursued, the Local Authority must also decide if the school is appropriate. Enquiries: please provide young person details, background information, and EHCP where available. All data processed under our privacy policy.
