Curriculum Highlights

Admissions Criteria

Frewen College accepts boys and girls with dyslexia and associated needs aged 7–19. Pupils may join mid-year. Boarders are accepted from Year 7, or Year 6 if there is a suitable cohort. The school welcomes day and boarding pupils, and boarding is fully flexible. International students are welcome provided that English is their first or a strong second language. Availability is very limited in some year groups. Admissions steps include: enquiry via form, Open Mornings (in-person or virtual), parent visit, in-school evaluation (three days and two nights for boarding), evaluation feedback, registration (£150 non-refundable), and acceptance of place.

Financial Information

Initial charges: Evaluation and assessment fees: Day pupils £300 (3 days); Boarders £400 (3 days, 2 nights). Non-refundable registration fee £150. Refundable deposit £500. Refundable overseas & non-UK national deposit: one term's fees. Tier 4 administration for overseas students regarding a visa: £1,000 and thereafter £500 per year. All deposits repaid on leaving, less any outstanding extras. Basic Termly Fees (three term year): Year Groups Day Year Weekly Boarding Full Boarding Years 3-6: £8,225 / £12,160 / £12,160. Years 7-9: £10,920 / £15,792 / £15,792. Years 10-11: £12,494 / £17,682 / £17,682. Sixth Form: £12,494 / £17,682 / £17,682. Boarding is available from Year 5 and is subject to space. Some items include music lessons (£210 per term). Payment terms include discounts for early payment and penalties for late payment; standing orders are not offered; admin charge of £30 for separate termly agreements. Insurances: Free travel insurance for trips; no automatic pupil personal effects insurance; optional policy available.
