"Believe to Achieve"
Church of England school whose life is deeply rooted in the Christian longing to see pupils of backgrounds come to live life in all its fullness.
Headteacher Chris Tomes welcomes visitors and emphasises that Churchmead is a place where welfare, happiness and progress of every child come first, with stimulating and intellectual challenges alongside the best care and guidance.
Churchmead provides SEND support through a Learning Support department led by a SENCo (Miss April Loach); aims to identify and assess needs early, provide the best possible provision within available resources, ensure all students have full access to a broad and balanced curriculum, include SEND students in activities, and consider the views of SEND students in planning and reviewing processes.
Year 7 admissions require an online application by the closing date (31 October in the year preceding entry) with 120 places available. RBWM residents are administered by RBWM’s School Admissions Department; Slough residents apply via www.slough.gov.uk/admissions; in-year admissions are handled by the school. Waiting lists may be used if places are not available, and appeals are heard by an independent panel. For in-year admissions or appeals, contact [email protected].
